Sailing
performance
Sailing performance
in light ship conditions is staggering where the modern single-spreader
double diamond rig carries a large roached mainsail with a self-tacking
jib. Speed in excess of 20 knots is possible with the main and jib
in anything from 20 - 30 knots of true wind speed.
For lighter conditions
a screacher sail is suggested and for the downwind runs, the asymmetric
will boost speed substantially. The combination of modern rig and
the high aspect dagger-boards, together with low drag spade rudders,
will ensure excellent upwind performance.
